At Lithuba Youth Development, our mission is to be a catalyst for positive change, particularly in underdeveloped and often overlooked rural communities in South. We are committed to empowering both adolescent girls and young women, as well as boys and young men, through tailored programs and skills development workshops. By collaborating closely with women’s and children’s organizations, we aim to provide essential support and opportunities for all individuals in these communities.
Our focus is to bridge the gaps that hinder progress, championing equality and access to resources. We strive to equip both genders with the necessary tools and knowledge, fostering independence and enabling them to thrive. Lithuba is dedicated to ensuring that every individual, regardless of gender, has the chance to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities. About Our Foundation
At Lithuba Youth Development, we are a woman-led non-profit organization based in Cape Town, South Africa, established in 2023. Our commitment extends beyond geographical boundaries as we work tirelessly throughout South Africa. Our foundation rests upon the creation and implementation of impactful programs tailored to address the specific needs of adolescent boys and girls within underdeveloped communities.
Our evolution has seen us diversify our efforts, expanding into delivering skills development workshops within these communities. Collaborating with women’s and children’s organizations, we aim to provide essential support to those in need, particularly focusing on empowering adolescent girls and young women at the core of our initiatives.
Understanding intimately the challenges faced by vulnerable young women relegated to the sidelines of their communities with limited prospects for thriving and independence, Lithuba is dedicated to being their lifeline. Our mission is clear: to ensure that girls and young women receive the support and opportunities they rightfully deserve.
